At the end of 2015, SAGE was looking to blaze new trails by redesigning its formerly two-color, uncoated SAGEMatters publication into a full color, glossy magazine. Each issue now features a cover story, several features, and several departments including a CEO letter and a SAGE Nation news section, as well as issue-specific infographics, event reports and advertisements.

Custom year-end reports tailored to the needs of your organization.
SAGE's 2015 annual report was designed for fully digital distribution and highlighted important programs along with donor lists and financial statements.
Real estate management company FirstService Residential wanted to distribute a year-in-review report to their employees showcasing their company's accomplishments. Tailored to an in-house audience, the report was distributed internally via email as an interactive pdf, with live, clickable links and cross-references.
A large graduate school of education, Teachers College produces a traditional printed annual that is mailed to alumni and supporters. Complete with year in review, program and policy highlights and donor acknowledgements, these reports utilize photography from their collection as well as new pieces shot specifically to illustrate the stories in these reports.
When custom photography wasn't an option for the Women's Media Center, we used a combination of stock art, photos from their archives and illustrations to get their message across in a dynamic way.
When our friends at SMART wanted a special 10th anniversary annual report, they opted for digital distribution to conserve resources at their community-based organization. To showcase their decade of accomplishments, DPI created a custom microsite, in 2008...before it was cool.
Magazines: Cover Art Direction
A great magazine needs a great cover and these were produced for the Teachers College, Columbia University alumni magazine, TC Today. In eight issues over four years, the college produced several "special issue" magazines calling for covers that distilled the essence of the related stories into a thematic idea.
For a special issue on the college’s work within New York City, we set up a photo shoot in 116th Street/Columbia University subway station and later artfully altered the subway station tiles to reflect our magazine's title. In addition, several issues of the magazine focused on one story as its feature, including interviews with NYC Schools Deputy Chancellor Marcia Lyles, NYS Commissioner of Education Tom Sobol, and National League of Nursing President Elaine Tagliarini. Brochures: The XMA Program
DPI worked with the Executive Education Programs in Change and Consultation at Teachers College, Columbia University to develop this four-part series of brochures to market their new Executive Education Masters in Change Leadership.
The program is a one-year degree program with four modules. The inaugural cohort of students is featured in the first brochure, Time for Change, which focuses on the first of the program's four modules. The following year, the second cohort of students is featured in the second brochure, Live Learning. The third cohort of students is featured in the third brochure, Reflections, which features video and other interactive content and is available as an iBook.
DPI art directed, designed and shot the photo and video for each of these publications. The forth and final brochure in the series is currently in production.
Pitch-perfect presentations that make a statement.
This first deck was developed for SAGE's corporate marketing team. It's a Powerpoint presentation featuring a fully customized design in a fully client-side editable template.
This Lead & Lease Generation sales deck was created for a FirstService Residential product launch requiring a fully custom-designed pdf to distribute digitally as well as to accompany meetings and presentations.
The Financial Wellness Workshop Powerpoint was custom-created for a corporate presentation by Blueprint Financial Planning, and then made into a template from which they can build future presentations in house.
And finally, a sales deck for Centric TV that combines a mix of custom graphics, static and editable pages for a template with a great deal of versatility for in-house design team.
Cookbook: Aai's Recipes
In the Marathi language of Maharashtra, India, Aai is the word for mother. Prepared by the mother/daughter team of Usha Gupte and Swati Gupte Bhise, this cookbook presents highlights from the cuisine of Maharashtra, and specifically the Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu (CKP) tradition in which they were raised.
DPI handled art direction and design of this 128-page cookbook that features more than 70 recipes with photographs, as well as an introductory section on the history of the cuisine and a primer on Indian spices.
